About Us
We're a small business based in Warrington, Cheshire, founded by Lauren, a working mum with a passion for finding balance between mind, body, sleep, and nutrition.
With 16 years of experience working with start-ups and medium-sized companies on their digital growth strategies, Lauren enjoyed her career, but often found the overwhelm of juggling everything difficult to manage. Through focus groups and conversations with friends, she realised she wasn’t alone—many around her were feeling the same pressure.
Initially, Lauren thought these challenges were primarily affecting her female friends, leading her to believe hormones were at play. But as she dug deeper, she discovered that men were also facing difficult stages in their lives, struggling to break through their own "glass ceilings."
In an effort to understand what was causing these moments of anxiety, Lauren took a closer look at her lifestyle. She realised there was no magic pill to fix everything—finding balance required a combination of nutrition, exercise, meditation, gratitude, and, most overlooked of all, sleep.
While there were similarities in the experiences of men and women, the impact of hormones on women was undeniable. PMDD, perimenopause, and menopause were creating unique challenges that couldn’t be ignored. This realisation inspired Lauren to dive deeper into helping others navigate these pivotal stages of life.
AYISYA was born out of my near-desperate attempt to regain control of my life. I could no longer ignore how my mood swings were affecting my family. I had become alarmingly good at hiding my emotions from everyone else, but at home, it was getting harder to keep it together.
Unless you're in the right spaces (and let’s face it, many of us aren’t) and having the right conversations with practitioners, we’re not taught about the deep connection between nutrition, exercise, meditation, gratitude, sleep, and how they impact our lives. Most of us treat food and exercise as tools for weight loss—always focused on how we look, not how we feel. But in reality, weight loss should be a by-product of caring for our bodies, not the primary goal. This isn’t "hippy dippy" stuff; it’s science. We’re filling our bodies with hormone-disrupting, preservative-laden products that aren’t real food, and then wonder why we’re tired, bloated, irritable, or sad. We binge Netflix, complain about having no time to meditate, and mindlessly scroll our phones, unknowingly topping up our cortisol—then ask why we feel burnt out.
I reached a point where I had to make a choice: take a step back or get comfortable with being uncomfortable. I realised I couldn’t do the latter without prioritising my mental health—not just for my own sake, but for my family. The thought of not reaching my potential was hard to accept, but I couldn’t justify dragging the people I love most through my journey of self-fulfillment.
More than anything, I knew there would come a point where my family would have no choice but to distance themselves from me if I stayed on that path, and that was something I couldn’t live with. So, I made the choice to step away from what wasn’t serving me and move towards a life where I could be both—a fun-loving wife, a present mum, and a courageous woman in her own right. A woman who could fulfil her potential without tearing her family apart with fear and anxiety, by using nutrition & supplementation, exercise, mindfulness, and rest as my anchor points.
Through the use of these pillars—nourishing my body, moving mindfully, practicing gratitude, and ensuring quality rest—I was able to regain control of my life. This holistic approach helped me transform my mental and physical health, and it is what continues to ground me as I navigate life’s challenges. My journey with AYISYA is about sharing this balance with others, empowering both men and women to reclaim their health, happiness, and sense of self, without sacrificing the people they love most.
